Wedding Table Decorations and Centrepiece Ideas

  • i) Another way of saving money if working on a tight budget, is to make your own decorations for the reception. It is very simple to make your own wedding table decorations, but also to decorate your evening venue (this may well be the same as where you have your meal.) All you need is a little imagination and possibly some willing volunteers!

  • ii) Wedding favours were originally, five sugared almonds, representing Health, Wealth, Fertility, Long Life and Happiness. You can still use the traditional sugared almonds or use sweets or chocolates instead. There are many styles of containers available for favours or again, if on a tight budget, it is possible to make the favours yourself. Sticking to the colour scheme you have chosen for your wedding table decorations, you can simply buy boxes to make up yourself or cut circles of netting which can be tied with ribbon. Once again, a cash and carry would be the ideal place to buy large jars of sweets/ chocolates. The possibilities are endless however, you do not have to stick to the idea of something edible! Figurines, little photo frames, wine stoppers and candles are just some of the other wedding favours available.

Our balloon lights provide an excellent way of adding the wow factor to your wedding table decorations and/or wedding balloons at a fraction of the cost of hiring professionals to do the job for you. Our magic crystal soil, is available in a variety of colours and shapes and can be put in vases, glass bowls or dishes to create effective wedding centrepieces. Our balloon lights can then be added to these wedding table decorations. The crystal soil reflects the light to create a wonderful effect, whilst the soil releases water slowly to enable flowers to also be added should you wish.

The balloon lights last anything up to 2 days on flashing function, so as evening approaches and the main lighting of your venue is dimmed, the full effect of the lights can be seen. Stunning centrepieces can be created cheaply, easily but effectively. The balloon lights can also be added to wedding balloons. Whether creating a canopy of  balloons on the ceiling, having an arch of balloons over the top table at the reception or having wedding balloons arranged around your venue, the lights add that something special to your wedding decorations. If you do not feel confident doing your own wedding table decorations or your own wedding balloons but want to use the lights in your displays, they can be given to your specialist company who will install them for you.  The lights work with any shape balloon but we recommend the balloons to be at least 11 inches (the size of a standard balloon.) Pearlised balloons work particularly well as wedding balloons. We do not recommend using the lights in foil balloons. The lights are perfectly safe used with helium.
